• Emphasis on 21st century skills through the development of a world language program for grades K-8; the addition of Chinese language to the middle school curriculum; integrated technology in all curriculum
• Development of highly successful, self-funded enrichment programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM);
• Advancement of technology through procurement of equipment including mobile laptops carts and multiple electronic whiteboards with both public and private funds, and strong integration of technology into the curriculum
• Undertaking extensive reviews of the language arts and mathematics programs;
• Successful spearheading of the ongoing MSBA building project (one of only 11 proposals moved forward to schematic design out of over 400 proposals) to provide a new school building for the district;
• Establishment of excellent working relationships with MSBA, town boards, local and state officials, and parent groups.
• Successful in closing the achievement gap though effective scheduling, rigorous curriculum, support programs and affinity groups
• Creation
of expansive staff development programs that include Primary Source,
EDCO, teachers teaching teachers, collaboration with neighboring
communities to provide top staff developers cost effectively
• Completion of effective budgeting to garner needed supplies for teachers and students through working closely with Town Boards and community groups
Many of these are accomplishments are unique to her tenure. However, the most important thing to know about Marie Doyle is that in her view of education, the student always comes first and all programmatic decisions are evaluated and made with staff in the best interest of students.
